Puppy HeadStart 6 weeks 1 hour/week $190.00

Most people are surprised to learn that early learning classes can provide some of the most important lasting skills for the young puppy.
Your young puppy is carefully studing every day to day experience " how well did that work?" - Through this class you can learn how to take advantage of this by providing consistent pro-active management, setting up fun but controlled exposure of the world and beginning introductions to basic obedience. We will also work on a variety of fun games which promote focus and impulse control.
Positive Rewards offers owners the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy program through this class.

This class is for puppies 10-18 weeks old

Beginning Foundations 6 weeks 1 hour/week $215.00

Do you and your dog have differing ideas upon how to handle situations?
This class creates a solid foundation for a lifetime partnership for both ends of the leash. The first few weeks of class are individual building blocks for complex behaviors in the later weeks of class such as walking on a loose leash past distractions, exiting or entering places and polite greetings.

Positively Focused Control 3 weeks 1 hour/week $90.00

A very common training problem is lack of focus -
This creates frustration at both ends of the leash; the net result is two individuals working on their own agendas rather than a unified team approach to a common goal.

This is a short class aimed at all levels of training, from beginners to the competition team that is not quite a cohesive team.
The opening class focuses on how to achieve, build and most importantly maintain independent focus from your dog . Focused control does not involve nagging the dog to pay attention to you – it does involve teaching your dog that paying attention to you WORKS-
Subsequent classes build on concepts from the first session – participants learn how to observe, highlight and properly reinforce behavior from their dog so as to build continued success in small but steadily forward steps.

Therapy Dog 1 7 weeks 1 hour/week $215.00

Are you interested in you and your dog learning how to become a therapy dog team? Do you know how your dog should be able to perform?

Sitting quietly for petting and attention
Simple grooming and handling
Walking on a loose lead past and around distractions (people, dogs, wheelchairs)
